Design a custom t-shirt in your browser — free, no signup

The Shirtaki Design Studio is a free in-browser tool. Upload artwork, place it on a true-to-size mockup of 30+ garments, pick colours and sizes, and order. No software to install.

How to design a t-shirt for printing

  1. Upload your artwork. Ideally a 300 DPI PNG with transparent background, or a vector SVG. JPG and PDF also supported.
  2. Pick a garment. Tee, hoodie, long-sleeve, tote — in any of 16 colours. The mockup updates live.
  3. Position your print. Drag, rotate, scale. Safe-area guides show you the max print size for each placement.
  4. Choose size & quantity. Mix sizes in the same order. Bulk discounts kick in at 25 pieces.
  5. Check out. Studio prints and dispatches in 24–48 h.

File requirements

  • Best: vector SVG, or 300 DPI PNG with transparent background at final size.
  • Minimum: 150 DPI. The studio warns you below this.
  • Max file size: 50 MB per upload.
  • Formats: PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF, WebP.
  • Colour mode: sRGB. CMYK files are auto-converted — email for Pantone matching on 50+ orders.

Tips for a sharper print

  • Design at final print size, not thumbnail size.
  • For dark garments, add a subtle outer glow around black elements so they lift off the fabric.
  • Avoid ultra-thin lines below 0.5 mm — they can get lost in the weave.
  • Ultra-light pastel colours can look different on dark fabric — test with a printed sample.
  • Transparent PNGs print cleaner than JPGs — no white box around your art.
